An Electronic Briefing Book

This collection of documents corresponds to an invitation-only seminar requested by senior congressional staff to provide an overview of the Medicare, Medicaid, and the State Children's Health Insurance Program (SCHIP). The sessions took place over two days in February 2007 and featured experts from the Government Accountability Office, Medicare Payment Advisory Commission, Congressional Research Service, Congressional Budget Office, and Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, in addition to other public and private entities.

The pages here contain links to the seminar agenda, biographical sketches of speakers and session chairs, PDFs of slides from presentations, as well as to additional reports, Web sites, and other resources. Materials are organized according to the session topics presented at the meeting and in the paper briefing book.
