| Summary: | This meeting explored the delivery of health services to persons with advanced, incurable, chronic illnesses that will ultimately lead to their deaths. It looked at traditional hospice, hospital-based palliative care, and home-based transition management approaches designed to relieve suffering and enhance quality of life and examined public and private insurance options to finance the provision of such care. |
