Title: Community Health Centers: Strategies for Success

Summary: This meeting explored the critical issues community health centers face as providers of care to the uninsured and underserved in today’s health care marketplace. Speakers described challenges in the areas of financing, productivity, workforce, governance, access to capital, quality, and information technology and addressed how successful health centers are able to address these challenges. The discussion highlighted the role of the health disparities collaboratives in improving quality of care at health centers. How health centers fit into the broader health care safety net was also discussed.
