Brent K. Hollenbeck, MD, MS, a urologic oncologist, is associate professor of urology and director, Dow Division of Health Services Research at the University of Michigan, where he has been on the faculty since 2003. A graduate of the Indiana University School of Medicine, Dr. Hollenbeck completed his residency in urology and fellowship training in oncology at the University of Michigan. He also completed a master's degree in clinical research and statistical analysis at The Horace H. Rackham School of Graduate Studies at the University of Michigan. His clinical practice focuses on patients with bladder and prostate cancer. His research interests include upstream influences and downstream consequences of variation in clinical practice. He has published widely and is principal investigator of two multi-year grants, one on best practices for managing superficial bladder cancer and the other on ambulatory surgical centers and Medicare expenditures for outpatient procedures.
