Paul Saucier, MA, is director, Integrated Care Systems, Community Living Systems Group at Thomson Reuters Healthcare. He has conducted qualitative health and disability research for more than 20 years, with a special emphasis on Medicaid, Medicare, and other public programs for older persons and persons with disabilities. He specializes in the policy and practice challenges associated with persons who are dually eligible for Medicaid and Medicare. He has conducted qualitative studies with support from CMS (the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services), ASPE (the Office of the Assistant Secretary for Planning and Evaluation), the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation, AARP, the California HealthCare Foundation, the Kaiser Commission on Medicaid and the Uninsured, The Pew Charitable Trusts, and The Commonwealth Fund. In 2002, Mr. Saucier spent eight months in New Zealand’s Ministry of Health as an Ian Axford Fellow in Public Policy. He is a member of the National Academy of Social Insurance.
